Which motif is in the lines




















The motif used in these lines is that of heat and coldness. A motif is an idea or concept that establishes a theme or mood. In these lines, the motif of fire and frost is used to discuss the contrasting ideas of ardor passion and reason. Researching, reading, and writing works of literary criticism will help you to make better sense of the work, form judgments about literature, study ideas from different points of view, and determine on an individual level whether a literary work is worth reading.

Purpose: The purpose is to summarize an article, series of articles, or book s and to offer a critique. Introduction: The introduction familiarizes the audience with the contents of your article s or book. A summary is a short, concise statement of the most important information in a text. An objective summary is a summary that does not include any opinions or judgments about what is written in the text. Instead, it only includes information that comes from the text. The thesis statement is located in the introductory paragraph, almost always at the end of that paragraph.

It usually consists of a single sentence. There are two major types of thesis statements: explanatory and argumentative. The explanatory thesis announces the subject to the reader; it never declares a stance which needs an argument to defend. A thesis statement is usually at the end of an introductory paragraph.

The precise position of the point will vary, depending on the motif used. Use these options to create mitered or pointed ends for your motif lines. The line selection drop-down is grayed out unavailable. The line type is set to Motif Line, so only its properties are shown. After creating a line you may change its type and properties. The Width will automatically change to 3. Click inside the flower. A dashed line of alternating colors will appear around the flower, showing the area that is selected for outlining with the Motif Line.

Also, the Color Tolerance dialog box will appear, with the Tolerance set to zero. This is useful even when it is not necessary to adjust the Tolerance value. Right-click to deselect the function. The pointer changes to a pen. When you click on a square node it becomes round. Square nodes are used for straight sections, round for curved sections.

To make a node square, hold down the Ctrl key when you click on it. Right-click to deselect. Alternatively, scroll up the FilmStrip and click the Color at the beginning of the light blue objects. Right-click on the FilmStrip and select Properties.
