What is beetlejuice rated

Not for little kids, better for 4th or even 5th grade and up. Has good messages about tolerance. Kids discover that a neighbor's house is a monster. Like ParaNorman, this movie has some creepy scenes that make it most appropriate for 4th grade and up. I've always loved the Bela Lugosi version of Dracula, flawed as it may be it. It has a self-seriousness that gives it a kind of strange majesty.

See the version with music from the Kronos Quartet. View this making of video to get a sense of how awesome it is. Everyone should see all these old movies.

Plan a fun retro movie night with the kids. They might grumble at first, but trust me — it'll make for a fun movie night. Today's kids will be confused, entertained and generally weirded out by this movie — just as they were when it came out 28 years ago!

A beautiful, creepy and strangely moving stop-motion masterpiece. It's not a classic like Nightmare Before Christmas, but great creepy stop-motion animation and great voice work from Johnny Depp elevate this movie into a must-see.

I admit that I didn't love it as a kid, but only because I wanted to see the real thing — not a parody. My kid likes it because it's so goofy. I enjoyed it more when I watched it with her. Adapted from the book by Roald Dahl, which I found much more disturbing than this movie. Spoiler alert: In the book, the kid is transformed into a mouse and is stuck in that form forever.

In the movie, he at least transforms back into a human. Anjelica Huston is great as the main witch. Suitable for 9-year-olds and up. My 7-year old kid thinks the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man is the funniest bad guy ever. Can a 13 year old watch Heathers? Heathers is exactly what it says a DARK comedy. If you child can handle swearing the subject of suicide, murder, sex, etc…then you childteen can watch it.

Re: The Musical Six — appropriate for kids? It should be fine for a 10 year old. Like others have said there are some more adult references but far less than they probably already see in other media. Tonally it plays well to a younger audience and it is quite a small theatre with a relaxed atmosphere. Beetlejuice has shown to be quite nasty as he tries to sexually assault Barbara numerous times and also has a somewhat demented fondness for Lydia even though he was also using her to be free to cause chaos among the living.

But there are a few age-related guidelines to take into consideration: From a technical standpoint, Harry Potter is categorized as a middle-grade read, which typically encompasses 9—to—year-olds. Why is vetinari a woman? How does SCP kill? After facing a set of coronavirus-related delays, Ghostbusters: Afterlife will hit theaters this November, and the film has officially received a PG rating.

According to Film Ratings, the PG rating is for both supernatural action and suggestive references. Magical, with scares most year-olds can handle. Firstly, the original Ghostbusters had an age rating of 12A, but the second film was a PG. Good comedy, not for young kids. But there are some reasons not to show it to young kids. First of all, beetlejuice is a pervert. He kisses a married woman without consent and later lifts her skirt from behind.

What really caught me off guard is he basically forces Lydia A youngish girl to almost marry him. Lydia writes a suicide note but never actually follows through with it. Beetlejuice finds a whorehouse nothing is shown, but there are some scantily clad women in the darkness There is an f-bomb and a couple of other swears. A woman smokes cigarettes. You could show this to one 10 year old and they would be happy with it but another might be afraid. This title contains: Positive Messages.

Helped me decide. Read my mind 1. Teen, 13 years old Written by Spielberg00 June 25, The most hilarious horror-comedy ever; perfect for Halloween. On the other hand, this is far too much for a PG rating, even for , because younger kids won't understand the humor and will only be scared.

An absolute must-see for audiences that can handle. Spaceballs, Big pushes the PG to the extremes. It has one F bomb used, but unlike the two listed films, it has a creepy sensation that could give kids nightmares--I really thought they stopped giving creepy movies PG ratings in the late 's or the early 's. Had useful details. Read my mind 2. Teen, 13 years old Written by Nou February 27, Maybe This was one of my favorite movies as a 5 year old and even now!

It depends on your definition of what bad is though. Teen, 13 years old Written by MovieMaster01 January 6, By far Tim Burton's best movie This movie was really great. To be honest, I don't know why Mars Attacks had a 4-star rating.

I hated it. But this movie has just the right amount of drama, comedy and fantasy. Some of the animation is a little choppy, but nobody can argue about everything else.

All in all, this is one of my favourite movies. Helped me decide 1. Read my mind. Kid, 11 years old October 13, Just a few bad words.

Kids under 9 would be a tiny bit spooked, but it isn't that scary. Maybe show your kids one that bleeps out some swear words?
